The Mane began as Expressions Hair Studio, owned and operated by Holly Abbott of McBain from June 2005 to August 2018. Hanna (Sprague) Unicorn of Farwell, Michigan acquired the salon in the fall of 2018 and rebranded it as The Mane in 2021. It remains a full-service salon to this day.

Licensed in 2016 from MJ Murphy Beauty College in Clare, MI, Hanna is the visionary owner and stylist behind The Mane. Her career is built on meaningful client connections and an entrepreneurial spirit that grew a successful beauty and nail business. For Hanna, beauty goes beyond aesthetics — every visit is a personalized experience that builds well-being and confidence.
Nail Technician
Everyone calls her Eileen. Licensed in 2023 from MJ Murphy Beauty College in Mt Pleasant, MI, she pairs creativity with detail-oriented skill to build nails clients adore. Her path ran from detailing vehicles to crafting smoothies; she joined The Mane in 2022 from The Horn and became a licensed nail technician in October 2023 — building beautiful nails and real connections with our community.
Stylist
Licensed in 2022 from Protege Academy in Mt. Pleasant, MI, Katie brings a fresh perspective to hairstyling. After a year at A Cut Above, she found her true calling at The Mane. Her passion: unique, personalized colors that leave clients feeling like the best version of themselves — delivered with creativity, warmth, and a commitment to getting it right.
